Clerk to The Worshipful Company of Basketmakers

The Worshipful Company of Basketmakers is seeking to appoint a new part-time Clerk (four days per week) to support the continuing work and development of this friendly, active and forward-looking City Livery Company.

Founded in 1569, the Company combines centuries of tradition with a modern and welcoming approach to City life, charitable activity, fellowship and support for the craft of basketmaking. The Clerk plays a central role in the life of the Company, acting as its Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Prime Warden, Court and membership across a wide range of ceremonial, administrative, financial and event-related activities.

This is a varied and rewarding role which would suit an organised, personable and adaptable individual who enjoys working with people, managing a broad range of responsibilities and being part of the unique traditions and activities of the City of London.

The position is home-based (within London or the Home Counties) and includes attendance at Company events and functions, many of which take place in the City of London.
